The Tallis Scholars Australian Tour

Alexander Productions and Sekers Group present the Australian Tour of The Tallis Scholars

Internationally recognised as the finest renaissance choral group, The Tallis Scholars are bringing to Australia a musical experience not to be missed. Directed by Peter Phillips, the Tallis Scholars' anticipated return to Australia guarantees audiences the famous renaissance sounds already known to transcend all standards of purity and clarity of sound.

Their sixth Australian tour involves performances at prestigious locations in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney.

Australian audiences will be drawn to two contrasting concert programmes including music by Tallis, Taverner, Gombert, Palestrina and Lassus, as well as the most famous of all Renaissance works, Allegri's Miserere.

Two additional concerts in Melbourne and Sydney will star local groups - The Choir of Trinity College Melbourne and the Sydney Chamber Choir - alongside the Tallis Scholars in performances of the rarely heard 40-part motel by Thomas Tallis, Spem in Allum, written circa 1570.

The Tallis Scholars will be performing at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, on 10th February 2007.
