Help needed to ship books

Calling all members - can anyone help with the cartage of books to Queensland for onforwarding to the School of St Jude in Tanzania?

Angela has a couple of hundred books that she's just culled from her school library and would love to forward them to Africa, but they have to get to Queensland first.

If anyone knows someone who can help out with free transport, please contact Angela at the following email address: davidmosley@optusnet.com.au

Plea for Books for the School of St Jude

Here's a message from Gemma at the School of St Jude in Tanzania:

As you know we are intending to open a second school in a years time and we are also taking on another 170 new sponsored children next year. Our current library will not be enough for the 850 students that we will have in the school next year ... and definitely not enough to fit out another two libraries!

In a few weeks we are going to be shipping a container out of Brisbane through the Rotary Club of Rocklea who have helped us with all the previous containers over the past 5 years.

We are desperate for good library books and so if you can get the word out quickly then our container which is going to leave in a few weeks can have more books in it.

If you would like to help with books then you need to read the below guidelines:
1. Firstly - thank you
2. We ONLY need fiction and non-fiction primary and secondary library books. Class sets of English readers (any age) would also be good. Also stationery like good lead pencils, markers, chalk, exercise books etc.
3. We cannot take encyclopedias, textbooks and teacher resource books as we get the encyclopedias on CD and we buy all textbooks etc here as our local curriculum is very specific.
4. Please only give library books for kids to borrow out and please think before giving them as we get many books for university level or which are too out of date and therefore we cannot take them.
5. Please remember that our people here are very proud and I expect only the best for them as you would with your child.
6. If you have any nice, good, fun library books that children all over the world would love to read then please get them to the man below (please realise that Lloyd and his family and mates cannot pay for any cartage of books - the books must be delivered to the below address to be able to come to Africa.

The show on Sunday was at the National Wool Musuem in Geelong.

Isabella (Poparazzi) takes on a solo.

Amanda does her very best Princess Mary impression, much to Tina's amusement!

And of course, "Caffeine Overload Polka" always goes down a treat!

First pix from Melbourne & Geelong

Here's a few quick pix from the weekend.

This first one is a rehearsal shot from the National Gallery of Victoria - the ceiling of the Great Hall is an awesome stained glass affair.

Here's a couple of Jonathon putting us through our paces before the performance.

And here we are in performance mode.

Geelong photos to follow!!
